Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has reduced our funding availability this year. As a result, PeopleForBikes is canceling our Fall 2020 grant cycle. Please check back in early November for information on our 2021 grant schedule.

Improving communities, one bike project at a time.

The PeopleForBikes Community Grant Program provides funding for important projects that build momentum for bicycling in communities across the U.S. These projects include bike paths and rail trails, as well as mountain bike trails, bike parks, BMX facilities, and large-scale bicycle advocacy initiatives.

Since 1999, we have awarded 439 grants to non-profit organizations and local governments in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Our investments total more than $3.5 million and have leveraged $775 million in public and private funding.

The PeopleForBikes Community Grant Program is funded by our partners in the bicycle industry. Thanks to the following participating members and their employees for making these awards possible:

Batch
Cannondale

Giant
Niner
Shimano
Trek
Vaast

We invite you to learn more about the most recent grants awarded or check out our map for a funded project near you.
